THOUGHT OF THE WEEK CURRENT DEEDS OFFICE DELAYS
The expected turnaround time for deeds lodged in the deeds office has slowed down over the past few weeks. Currently it takes approximately 14 working days from lodgement for deeds to come up for registration. The delay may increase taking tomorrow's public holiday into account.
We share the frustration with sellers, purchasers and agents that have matters pending registration and understand that this puts your planning in disarray. The state of affairs is unfortunately out of our hands; we are doing our utmost to speed up the process, where at all possible.
